The most commonly known and scientific advantage of dark mode is that it saves energy consumption on devices with OLED or AMOLED displays. On OLED panels, each pixel is individually lit. When the background is white, all the pixels are turned on and the display demands more power.

dark mode feature is good because amoled displays are quite brighter which is good in day time use of mobile but quite irritating in low light or night condition so it could be lot more helpful if it's sensor automatically switch the light mode acc. to light conditions which will also help in power consumption.
