Missing feature on phone

Can the devs please bring back the call blocking with "criteria select". For example in my old S4 running LP (5.0.1), there were options like block "number starts with", "number contains", etc... this was a very useful feature as one can block spam numbers from certain series without blocking individual numbers. samsung has the worst call blocking facility also the SMS blocking facility is horrible

SMS blocking has always been a problem, especially from bulk senders. As a developer myself, I think it should be possible using some string search algorithm to block bulk sms using the string of the sender. Again, I don't know the complexity of the existing software and how much effort it would entail to get the search and block implemented.

tell me how can one block automated SMS which comes with names and the number is not one. in android one we can block the sms but in Samsung one ui we can only block the sms which comes from a number only

I believe I explained above quite clearly. All it would need would be some kind of algorithm to search for a matching string provided by the user and then reject the SMS. like i said I don't know the technical details or complexity involved... but it should be similar to a search and nuke feature...

For the folks who are having hard time understanding what I am stating, look at the pictures below for the call blocking. It is from Galaxy S4 running LP. The call blocking feature is nicely implemented and I wish samsung brings it back for the S10.
