DO YOU SLEEP REALLY GREAT?                  It's totally depends on your sleep cycle that how much your sleep is calculated as best .there is an area in human hypothalamus called suprachiasmatic nucleus activate nerve impulses which can stimulate melatonin from pineal gland and regulate sleep .at day time or when our eye absorbs more blue light ,then melatonin secretion depressed and we awake from sleep but at night more melatonin secretion produces helps to perform a good night sleep ...hence to block blue light by blue light filter option can maintain regular sleep cycle ...and for betterment you can calculate sleep cycle manually by using Samsung health. Afterall blue light filter also helps device display not to get display  burn in issue .                                        WAVELENGTH Blue light has a wavelength of between 380nm and 495nm.With the short wavelength, it produces a higher amount of energy . Studies suggest that over exposure to blue light spectrum could cause serious long-term damage to your eyes.                                                              CAN IT DAMAGE RETINA?The fact that blue light penetrates all the way to the retina (the inner lining of the back of the eye) is important, because laboratory studies have shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina.This causes changes that resemble those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Many eye care providers are concerned that the added blue light exposure from computer screens, smartphones and other digital devices might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life. More research is needed, though, to determine how much natural and man-made blue light is "too much blue light" for the retina.          Anterior structures of the adult human eye (the cornea and lens) are very effective at blocking UV rays from reaching the light-sensitive retina at the back of the eyeball. In fact, less than one percent of UV radiation from the sun reaches the retina, if you aren't wearing sunglasses. (Remember, that sunglasses that block 100 percent of UV are essential to protect these and other parts of the eye from damage that could lead to cataracts and even cancer.) On the other hand, virtually all visible blue light passes through the cornea and lens and reaches the retina.                                    WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES SAID!once the famous Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman disclosed the news about his third skin cancer surgery, people have become a little skeptical about going to bathe in the Sun on the beaches and and in the parks. The fear of getting cancerous growth through the ultraviolet radiations of the Sun has become stronger. But very few people know that the Sun is not the only source of ultraviolet source around us. Even the smartphone screen that we keep staring into day and night, emits near-ultraviolet or blue light radiation. Since blue light is not actually ultraviolet light, you are not exposed to the risk of getting cancer but blue light coming from smartphone screens is harmful for our eyes and cause vision impairment over a prolonged periods of time. If you want to reduce the blue light radiation a little in your smartphone, then you can use the free Bluelight Filter app in your Android based smartphones. The app adjusts the color of your screen to reduce the blue level and gives instant relief from eye strain. Since blue light radiation can keep you awake, by using the Bluelight Filter app you can actually fall asleep at night without any problems. As you launch the  Bluelight Filter app, it turns on the blue light filter and your screen stats to look like an old newspaper from the early twentieth century.
