Disable battery optimization for the app in settings, as sometimes the battery optimization kills the app in the background.

Yes edomadara is correct. It happens only when app is forced to sleep or optimization enabled. I have been using Pro version from years and never faced issue with it.

It's a speed test app I guess according to screenshot it doesn't provide meter to check in general use.
