Our community is always brimming with innovative ideas, now you can share them directly with our team. We thank you for bringing your thoughts to our table, we strive to improve user experience with the help of your admirable commitment and valued ideation.

In this week, we request you to share your ideas on the feature: Quick Share.

Quick Share is a feature that allows Samsung devices to share files, photos, and videos with nearby devices quickly and easily. It uses a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to share files between devices. Users can share files, photos, and videos, even without an internet connection.

What else can we do to enhance the features? It would be amazing to have your suggestions and feedback. Here are some thoughts to enlighten your ideation process:

       1. Types of files/data to be shared.

      2. Ease of detecting nearby devices.

      3. Speed of the file transfer process.

      4. Ease of using quick share with nearby devices.

1. Quick share support for anything like share an installed app on your device to another (compatible or not but have to be shared)
2. Most important pause and resume option during sharing
3. Connect multiple devices at once and share stuff (wifi yes compatibility is an issue but atleast send link to 2nd device or so so they can start download
3. Que up option to give like for example I am sharing 1 movie to a phone but let's say subsequently I wanted to share next movie in another folder to same device so I wanted to que up in quick share so one movie shared subsequently next movie to be shared to same device
4. Share to other phones brands compatibility to other android and ios devices
5. Device que up in sharing files like let's say I select 4 samsung device one by one device automatically it should start sharing the same files.
6. During share time ask user to send images or folders like where it's stored for example I have taken an image from my camera I am sharing my image to him it should also go to his camera folder where its stored like my phone rather than storing in quick share folder.
7. Quick share app icon on apps section so easy to navigate

1. it should allow app transfer
2.it should also have a option to also transfer the obb with the app is should be optional and should be directly saved into the obb section
3. there should be an option to ignore the sent request if someone is sending again and again
4.it should not close if some one to to home screen
5. it should have an option to enable an app just like bixby

The apps sent through quick share are not working on the shared device.
I sent a game downloaded from the Play Store on another Samsung device that was I think it was samsung F series and it didn't work on it it was showing some error.

Adding wireless file sharing support to the windows would be quite helpful.

Hello Samsung,
Here are few suggestions to improve Quick Share.

1. First of all, Quick Share should show as a separate app in the App Launcher screen and not just from the "Connected Devices" option in the "Settings" menu. Then, once we click on the quick share app icon, there should be more options to share different files bases on their type, like installed apps, videos, photos, music, contacts, recent files etc.

2. Each Quick share device should be given a unique code whih could be based on multiple factors like Device Model, serial number, Build Number, and its software version. Then this unique code/number should be visible on top of the Quick Share App window/panel. And user should have an option to add and register a particular device using this unique code and then they should be able to share/receive files using that code even without being present nearby (but while being connected to internet). With this approach, their will be less usage on "Link Sharing" feature and thus reducing the burden on Samsung Cloud Storage.

3. Quick share should also support "Tap to Transfer" option using the NFC option.

4. Quick Share should also be cross platform and it should support sharing and receiving of files from "ios" devices. You will need to work with "Apple's AirDrop" team and convince them that this will ease the life of the users to transfer the data freely between both the devices and improve the overall experience.

5. Quick Share should show the transfer speed in the sharing window or in the notification panel.

6. It should show the elapsed time of the transfer i.e. the total time taken to complete the transfer.

7. To enhance the security of user's data, there should be an option to have a "Fingerprint Lock" (once we click on "Quick Share" while selecting from the sharing window) option to prevent any unauthorised transfer of user's personal data.
