Sending files in Document format is very useful.
Pros-
1. Users can send files of upto 2GB.
2. Almost anything can be sent via this format.
3. Files are sent Without compression. Means, Users 8K(for example) video will be in 8K forever.
-etc.

Cons-
Unlike other Phone Manufacturers.. I couldn't find any option to SAVE document format files in SAMSUNG.

It's not that easy...

When you get a normal picture from your friend/contact.. after downloading it.. you can view that Picture & also by clicking on the "Three dot" you also have so many options.. including "SAVE" .. and when you Click on "SAVE" the Picture gets SAVE to your "Internal Storage>Pictures>WhatsApp"... this means you can EASILY access that picture now... You can use it anytime anywhere.. even without using WhatsApp.

But,
I case of Document format files you don't get such options. Means those documents files are not that Easy to access.
Just try it by yourself.
[Note: Other Manufacturers provides that "SAVE" option in both cases]

Documents are saved in Storage>Android>media>com.whatsapp>Media>WhatsApp Document
.
If it is an image you can access it in Gallery ig ... There should be a "WhatsApp Document" folder

The subfolders of "Android" folder are only accessible by that particular app (&File manager type apps) .. this is the reason why other apps cannot access these files.. this is a Safety Machanism, I guess.

So, Every Time I have to move/copy those files to non-Android subfolders (like Download folder).
This is very Inconvenient.

Nope... "/Android/data" is restricted... You can access "/Android/media" with Samsung's default file manager...

And if I have too many document files.. then it's a pain to find that particular File as this kind of files don't show any thumbnail and file's name are like Random numbers/alphabets.

Nope... No random numbers... It should be the same name as the document file's name or "DOC_date_time_serialNo.extension"

I don't like it man!
Why making a simple thing too much difficult!
Just provide a SAVE option, like you(SAMSUNG) do in case of normal picture, videos!
