So ever questioned, how is battery tested πŸ€”? How do they determine battery πŸ”‹ life πŸ€”? How do they say about charging speed πŸ€”? What is this typical rating and rated minimum battery πŸ”‹ capacity πŸ€”

Let me answer one by one!

First up, types of battery πŸ”‹ capacity ratings:
The nominal capacity of a battery is usually divided into two types based on different vendors: the typical capacity (Typ) and the rated capacity (Min). We generally uses the rated capacity (Min) as the displayed capacity. Due to different statistical methods, the result of the rated capacity is generally 90mAh-150mAh lower than the typical capacity, which is a normal phenomenon.

Now, let's see battery testing.

So a battery πŸ”‹ is tested in a laboratory under standard laboratory conditions which are as follows:

1) temperature πŸŒ‘ = 25Β°C
2) pressure = 1 ATM (atmosphere)

Now for testing what they do is drain battery πŸ”‹ at 0% so device is just to power off, turn on Mobile internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS , set brightness to 100%, and charge it till 100% and note time taken.

This was one type there is one more
This time battery is at 1% and everything else is Same that is turn on Mobile internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS , set brightness to 100%, and charge it till 100% and note time taken.

And there is even one more
This is quite reverse !
turn on Mobile internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS , set brightness to 100%, and discharge it till 0% and note time taken. Use is stimulated usually using benchmarking cpu .

Now with all the three we determine time taken overall, charging speed (time taken for 1% increase), and rate the battery πŸ”‹

Now as an addition, battery πŸ”‹ life , charging speed etc depends on software, temperature 🌑, usage patterns etc .

In case of temperature 🌑, battery πŸ”‹ performance
Don't use below -10Β°C
0Β°C-10Β°C use and charging not recommended
Around 20Β°C battery πŸ”‹ performance is quite good
At 25Β°C max performance πŸ‘
Around 30 to 40 Β° C ok πŸ‘
Above 40Β°C battery πŸ”‹ performance fall rapidly!

Now many users say battery doesn't last say 2 days as in ads !
Actually depending on usage, network, temperature 🌑 battery πŸ”‹ life may vary!

Hope you found this useful πŸ‘ πŸ˜€ 😊
