For edge light, try using Edge lighting+ app from google play store,i hope it will help🤗.
For battery, try using optimised performance and try putting apps on sleep which are not required. Hope it helps

-Edge lighting Feature:- We would like to inform you that edge lighting feature is not available in your device.We have noted your feedback and forwarded to our concern team.
-Watsapp:- As it is a third party app we request you to contact the application service provider.
-Overheating:- Perform the following steps
1. Decrease the screen brightness.
2.Close background running apps.
3. Uninstall the unnecessary apps.

If this issue still persists, send an error report as soon as you experience the issue (preferably within 15 mins in order for us to get the data that we need) using the path : Samsung member app > Get Help > Send Feedback > Error Report
