Flash memories are very useful, because with the help of flash memory you can have faster access to your data. To better understand flash memory let's take an good example of Latest generation Laptops/Workstations. Latest generation Laptops have a built-in SSD(Solid State Drives) which makes the performance of Laptops/Workstations faster. SSD uses a flash memory to store your data when your laptops are switched off while the internal memory(Random Access Memory) of your Laptop is volatile, which means data losts when power is off. SSD uses flash memory to store data such as BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) instead of using RAM which makes your system works faster because every time when you switch on your system, it fetches data from flash memory(which is 10x faster then RAM) instead of fetching data from RAM(which is slow then flash memory)
