Hi guys, I have a newly bought Samsung S23 plus US version unlocked (Snapdragon), software version S91*U1, CSC is XAA. I live in India currently, and I am not able to use the call recording and Samsung Pay and I think some other features are missing as well. I thought the US version XAA would have more and better features compared to Indian, but not sure why it's like this. Anyway, I read somewhere that changing CSC to INS or something would work for getting the features like call recording and SPay and stuff,.. and without losing warranty or any other side effects..? Could anybody please provide some insights on this ? Or if you have tried this, is everything okay ? Is this worth the change ?

Ah I see. I'm not sure why but I'm not getting Jio 5G on mine. I just got the old physical SIM converted to e-SIM and installed it in my new S23 plus. Is there anything else to be done after this ?

No that's about it. You're getting coverage but just not 5g coverage am I right? If that's the case, wait for a couple of days or so. I remember I didn't instantly get 5g coverage on my airtel esim after conversion from a physical sim but eventually it improved. Don't know how technically correct it seems but that's how it was in my case

Csc conversion is supported for global version(phones from the UAE for example) not for North American version I am afraid

Try removing the sim card and see if the drop down is getting populated then.

I haven't tried but I read somewhere when they had similar issue, this fixed it. I want to change the csc of my s23 from XSG to INS, but I'm not sure if that comes with a price. I read some users had issues in receiving updates after that, and still not sure if that voids the warranty too.

It doesn't void warranty I heard. And yeah, I saw some complains about update issues as well. It's so weird, some say it worked, some say it didn't. Not sure what different way they tried to make it work.

Hey, are you able to use UPI apps and Samsung Pay and all on your phone ? Are they working fine ?
