Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Thank you for sharing this. If anyone facing an advertisement issue kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

Disable the Google ads: Path: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of ads personalization > Disable
Disable Google ads settings: Tap on Ads by Google > Add settings > Disable Google ads settings
Enable pop-up blocker: Internet browser > Settings > Advanced > Enable pop-up blocker

Contain ads function
Kindly check the Contain ads function while downloading any app from the Play Store. (If any application contains ads then it is mentioned under the name of that application while downloading from the Play Store).

Samsung Account Privacy Settings

First things first, the best way to avoid ads on your Samsung Galaxy phone is by stopping them before they start. Samsung’s ads are all opt-in, so being vigilant during set-up can help you avoid them. You can find the opt-in for ads option in the setup of your Samsung account. The β€˜use the customization service’ toggle will enable personalized promotions on Samsung apps. This won’t fully disable ads but will stop them from being personalized with your data.

If you missed this option during set-up, you can still opt out of personalized ads by following these steps: Settings > Samsung Account > Security and privacy > Customisation Service > Tap on Customised ads and direct marketing to turn off.

Block ads from Samsung Internet: Samsung Internet app > Tap on the 3 lines icon > Ad blockers > Download a suggested ad blocker > Now you are protected from ads.

Check your device in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/

Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

Reset your device: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-mobile-how-to-perform-a-factory-res...

If the issue persists kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).

Warm Regards,

I've been using Private DNS for blocking device wide ads and trackers except YouTube. This is because Private DNS only blocks third party ads and trackers while the ads on YouTube are first party hosted.

For YouTube, use Brave browser and you're good to go.

Beware, enabling Private DNS may disable Wi-Fi Calling feature (a.k.a. VoWiFi) at least in S23 Ultra
