Earlier this week, Samsung released the stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A53 5G. Today, the company has also started releasing the stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy A73 5G.
The stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy A73 5G comes with firmware version A736BXXU2BVK2. The update doesn’t bring the November 2022 security update, though. The new update is rolling out in Malaysia, and we expect it to be released in other countries within the next few days.
If you are a Galaxy A73 5G user in Malaysia, you can install the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
Galaxy A73 5G Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update: New features
The Android 13 update brings a revamped UI design, featuring stacked widgets, better Material You implementation with the Color Palette feature, and bigger app icons for notifications. There are minor changes to the Settings menu and the quick setting toggles.
Samsung has also improved all the stock apps in One UI 5.0. The OCR feature in the built-in Camera, Gallery, and Keyboard apps can extract text from images. Samsung Keyboard also brings more emojis, animated emojis, and AR Emojis. Performance, UI smoothness, and transitions have improved.
The South Korean firm has also improved Bixby, Bixby Routines, and accessibility features. In fact, Samsung has renamed Bixby Routines to Modes and Routines. Built-in image and video editors have been improved as well.
