Nowadays Samsung Phones have an IP Rating of 67 (i.e. IP67) or more.
This is one of the reason I've got Samsung phone as my secondary device. I know IP67 or Waterproofing can degrade when the phone gets old.. but, I always have a peace of mind that atleast Water drops or minor-to-moderate rain will not affect it's functions.
Although Samsung phones have such IP ratings, a important feature that they miss is, Aqua touch . A feature that other brands like OnePlus, OPPO etc provides. Samsung should implement this feature to it's Water resistant** phones. This will ensure that, when some drop of water is on the screen - it'll working fine.
Q. What is Aqua Touch?
Ans. Aqua Touch is a brand new feature for touchscreens that has been developed by OnePlus. The technology detects water droplets and is then able to adjust its touch settings accordingly, resulting in uninterrupted and smooth touch experience .
