Is it OK to disable Android System Intelligence?

Is it simply a customization service or does it come with security and data privacy service as well?

Android System Intelligence (prev. Device Personalization Services) is actually pretty important and it executes many of the "smart" features which makes your smartphone, a smartphone. Some of its features are:

1. Reply from notifications in chats.
2. Automatic subtitles.
3. It keeps the screen on while you're looking at it.
4. Clipboard.

These are some of the many important tasks done by Android System Intelligence. And it keeps your data private too. So, now you have your answer, hope this helps :)

Thanks for the reply. To be honest, i don't want any customization features that drains my battery, data and tracks my usage.

My only concern is if it helps in security of my phone. If it does, Only then I'm going to enable it.

See, a smart device is all about tracing your usage, be it any smart device, from a phone, to a tab and even PCs. ASI does a lot of work outside what I have mentioned here. It is better to leave it as is, and because it is a core component, it can cause system instability if you try to disable it. And on top, it doesn't even use much data or battery. The difference with or without it is ~0. I would personally not disable it.

Under the Apps settings, I found one extra 'Files' app with a blue color icon. Usually Samsung's own file manager app (My Files) has a yellow icon , which is also there in the app settings.

So what is this app? I'm not able to uninstall it. Is it a legit app?

It's Google's built-in files app. It's a legit app and you can't uninstall it.

You shouldn't disable Android System Intelligence as it's a personalization service. To know more, do read the description in the Play Store's listing of the app.

I've already disabled it coz apart from giving personalised services( which involves a large number of tracking of our activities by android), it doesn't have any security features if I'm not wrong. Is that okay?? 🙁
