Mobile security is of the major concern for many. The day-to-day security bug is a cause of worry for OEMs and Android platform users. Earlier we saw a trojan ‘BRATA’ appear in January 2022, in which malware attackers can steal and wipe phone data remotely.

In a press release, ‘Kryptowire‘ shared its findings. The firm recently shared information revealing the vulnerability with the Unisoc and smartphone manufacturers in December 2021. It says that the attacker with the knowledge of this bug could access the stored data and can even take the control of the smartphone. It said the hacker could also get access to texts, contacts, system logs, and other sensitive data.

Recently a massive bug has affected some of major smartphone manufacturing companies like Samsung, HTC, Nokia, Lenovo, and Motorola, powered by the same specific Unisoc SC9863A chip used for making budget smartphones.

According to Kryptowire, this could also control the external-facing camera to record videos. They said that the root cause has evolved from the pre-installed app. Tech Firm disclosed that the application does not have any authentic protocol, which has made users with Unisoc chip to be an easy target.

Massive Bug has affected two smartphones on the list which are Samsung Galaxy A03 and A03 Core.

Other devices like Motorola’s Moto E6i and E7i Power.
Realme C11
Lenovo smartphones such as A7 and K13
