What is point of pre order if you can not deliver product on time? You just killed all excitement of new product. I feel like i do not want that product now. Here is more details.

I pre booked Galaxy tab S8 + on 8th March by going to samsung store near me. They booked and swiped my credit card with 2k. I got text message with delivery date of UPTO 10th April. Now i do not have anything regarding product status. No shipping information, no order no, when will i get my product, nothing. If i try customer service number they say go to samsung shop application and go through their customer service. When i do that, shop customer service says: You haven't ordered it with samsung shop application so we can not help you. Please visit store where you have booked your Product.

So I went to store and they keep saying product is not available yet and we will call you as soon as we receive product.

Amusing thing is even if i order product right now on online platform it will be available within 12 days. So why pre order stuff taking much time? What is really point of pre order?

That's frustrating indeed. Did you ask the store to refund the advance paid?

I am still waiting for 10th April which is deliver date. And i know they wont able to deliver because if they could, I would have information regarding it like shipping info or order number something.
After 10th April going to claim order amount.

The pre-booking offers were still available even after the pre-booking period was over. In many instances, pre-booked customers received their product well after those who bought after the pre-booking period was over. This is true for Amazon too.

Makes one wonder the point of paying in advance. Such delays indeed kill the excitement and it makes it unfair for customers who pay well in advance. For the phones, it was 100% upfront payment.

You are right. Bt after 31st March, Benifits of pre order is decreased. I have to pay half amount of keyboard cover i.e. 6k i guess.
Bt before that it was totally free.

You won't have to because you already ordered the product before 31st March. Keyboard cover will be completely free.

Yes. My comment is misleading actually. I am talking about if I cancel my order right now and again order then only i will loose benifits. And why i was thinking for cancelling because online platforms are much trustworthy then this one and they are delivering product much faster.

Trust me they are not. There are people who have ordered from Samsung shop (online) and have not received their products yet. Everything is because of the chip shortage. Samsung should not have promised something that they couldn't keep. I will say that it is worth waiting a bit and you will get th3 keyboard cover for free. You can always go legal (consumer forum) if you don't receive your product even after the assigned date.
