They are, but we have to use the words which are appropriate.

Not giving full One UI in M series isn't a gimmick, its discrimination. Giving Helio G80 and 720p displays aren't gimmicks, those are malpractices.

Gimmicks are features which help increase sales and doesn't actually benefit the user.

Yeah. The worst part is Samsung Internet browser beta isn't compatible with Galaxy M series phones. But, it's available on much cheaper A series phones & tablets.
