Bought a S6 lite recently. From Day 1 facing issues with the S pen. It writes/operates without even touching the screen. Called Samsung support, did a factory reset as they asked to do so. But the problem continued. Carried it to a Samsung Service center, they did the same thing. Problem continued. Now comes the funny part, Samsung service center says it is designed to operate in such a way. They were trying to explain the air drop/view feature. Come on Samsung, not all are illiterates.Horrible service.
My Spen is basically unusable and Samsung has given me horrible service. And this is going to be my last Samsung Purchase.

I am in the same position with the S Pen on the S6 lite. It registers prior to touching the screen. I got a knock off samsung spen and it works like a working original.
To explain the issue: with a working s pen, when a pen hovers on the screen, the cicle cursor would pop, if the button is pressed you get an option or eraser feature. When the pen presses on the screen, it writes. With the non working s pen, your cursor does not pop up. When the pen gets close to the screen, it immediately starts writing or scrolling the page. Pressing the button goes straight to erasing, it does not pop up the menu. Tablet thinks pen is pressed on the screen when button is pressed.
I am only happy that I am not the only person with this issue.
