Does Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 not support 5ghz Wifi?

Galaxy Tab A8 will support both 2.4ghz aswell as 5ghz band wifi

I bought a new product. I'm facing issues connecting to my 5ghz wifi at home. it shows connected with no internet and eventually ends up not connecting at all. however connects fine to 2g one. I'll need to get this looked at then. Thank you for the FYI.

It happens to me as well. That's because of weak signal. Try to get closure to the wifi & it will work fine.

Yes I've realized it only awhile back. Thank you. The range that it can connect to 5ghz is very poor in comparison to my other devices.

Generally 2.4ghz wifi seems to cover longer range but little bit slow speed not much slower . The 5ghz wifi is faster though it covers very low range .

Open your Android device's settings menu. Tap Wi-Fi then the three dots in the upper-right corner. Tap Advanced > Wi-Fi frequency band. Select the desired radio band.
