Concern Regarding Software Update Policy for Galaxy Tab A9 Plus

 I recently received the One UI 8 update based on Android 16 on my Galaxy Tab A9 Plus. While I appreciate Samsung’s effort in providing updates, I am concerned that this seems to be the last major Android update for this device.

 Samsung is known for offering long-term software support, often 6 to 7 years of updates on many of its devices. In comparison, limiting the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus to only two years of major Android updates feels inconsistent with Samsung’s overall update policy.

Samsung should pay attention to this issue and consider extending the update support by at least two more major Android versions. This would improve device longevity and user confidence.

 I would not want Samsung to be viewed in the same category as brands like Infinix or Tecno, which are known for limited update support.

yea I want samsung to give more 2 years update for a9 plus 5t

Tablets in general recieve less software support,so yea they might not but they are increasing software support for A series phones now,so we might see 4 plus years of updates for a series and s series tablets. I personally have a xiaomi pad 6 and there wasnt even any information on the software support,like the updates can stop anytime,its running hyperos 2.2 and its pretty optimised I would say

I think this should get upto atleast one ui 9 or 10 since this doesnt have a great processor. Android 16 seems way too early to stop updates. Samsung can increase the update policy anytime but they are not doing it on purpose. Let's make this post viral so Samsung sees it

Tab A9+ has 4 years of update policy so 8.5 will be the last major update than after only security updates will be provided until 2028 mid to end
