Secure Folder

Hey fellow Samsung users,

I’m sharing this to raise awareness and hopefully protect others from going through what I did.

Recently, I submitted my phone at an official Samsung service center. To my shock, I later found that my Secure Folder password was changed without my knowledge, and my private gallery was accessed.

Even worse — I immediately reached out to Samsung customer support, the service head, and even the CEO’s email. It's been days, and I haven't received a single call back. Not one.

So here’s my honest advice to all of you:

🔐 Do NOT assume your data in the Secure Folder is truly secure during servicing.
🧼 If possible, do a full factory reset before handing over your phone.
📸 Back up and wipe any sensitive content — even from Secure Folder.
📞 Don’t depend on Samsung’s customer support to actually support you.

I trusted the process, but this experience has been a serious breach of privacy and trust. Please be cautious and spread the word.

I just saw vid of one channel from Singapore they exactly did this experiment as

customers we always give our device with lock screen password and most shops did the same thing snooping around the phone some even copied the data pictures on to pendrive.

But yt channel guys had installed a app disguised as vpn which was recording screen the whole time.

As I have mentioned, they have reset the password. You can click on reset password and reset the password through just a mail by clicking on link. I tried that, it worked no password was required. Also I did had a mail in my inbox during the time of repair which they did changed itm

When you click on reset there are 3 ways you can reset the password, out of which one is "through one email" where when you click on it, it leads to a mail and where you have to click on continue and then it will reset the password, it's not related to Samsung account. I am not saying this because of assumption or some theory I did tried to change the password again and it was possible, this is tried method, even service center people agreed to this method. And more funny thing? I did got a mail for password reset during the repair period and also my password was changed once I got it back.
