WARNING: Your Secure Folder Might Not Be So Secure!

Hey fellow Samsung users,

I’m sharing this to raise awareness and hopefully protect others from going through what I did.

Recently, I submitted my phone at an official Samsung service center. To my shock, I later found that my Secure Folder password was changed without my knowledge, and my private gallery was accessed.

Even worse — I immediately reached out to Samsung customer support, the service head, and even the CEO’s email. It's been days, and I haven't received a single call back. Not one.

So here’s my honest advice to all of you: 

🔐 Do NOT assume your data in the Secure Folder is truly secure during servicing.
🧼 If possible, do a full factory reset before handing over your phone.
📸 Back up and wipe any sensitive content — even from Secure Folder.
📞 Don’t depend on Samsung’s customer support to actually support you.

I trusted the process, but this experience has been a serious breach of privacy and trust. Please be cautious and spread the word.

When it was secured? Just satisfactory name "Secure Folder"

Lol exactly it has so many flaws. They don't even have 2AF for it.

This is so wrong i get that you shared password for phone unlock but how did they got the password of secure folder?

U can click on forget password and then there is option reset the password through email, when u click on it you get a mail where you need to just click on link and it will lead to new password page. And I do have evidence I did received that mail during repair.

Reset through mail and fingerprints i keep both of those options off always remember my secure folder password.

This work when you give them the device the same way without turning on Maintainance mode.As Maintainance Mode=Factory Produced phone with no email linked no data linked.It is totally like new bought phone

Now I have just removed the option to reset the password

Why the fk they'd need to open secure folder while repairing device. Did you complain to any superior at service center?

Yes I did they said they are investigating from past 1 week. Now I am gonna just report this to cybercrime portal, that's my last resort.
