What is process and timeline when we return a product

I ordered S20 FE 5G and got it on 1st Oct. It stopped working on next day.

I visited service center, they verified my mobile, they packed it with a DOA (Dead on Arrival).  Service center suggested to not open the packet. 

I raised a return request from where I ordered this product, they are saying that I will be contacted after 24 to 48 hrs. 

Does anybody know what will be next process and timeline. Do I need to mail anybody(I have seen some people mailing CEO or support).
