Misleading cancellation charges on S25 Ultra

Hey All,

I ordered an S25 Ultra but then thought of cancelling it after reading reviews and comparing the features thoroughly within 20 mins of ordering just to find out the Shop doesnt allow cancellations as they have marked this as a pre order and priority delivery. I checked the cancellation policy and there at the very last they mention if its a pre reserve / pre order then cancellations will not be possible and it has to be rejected on doorstep with a fee of Rs.999 as per Jan 24 2025.

My issue here is - It wasnt mentioned on the page anywhere that its a pre order and will be considered under priority delivery. And why would someone call a 10 days later delovery as priority delivery? 

 Also, today I just found out that they have now changed the cancellation fee(now Rs.2999) to just fool around with customers and get them to pay something. 

All this happened after I placed the order and reported about nothing being mentioned on the flow. Now they have somehow fixed it(just checked their website, where it explicitly mentions that this is a pre order)

UPDATE 

Feb 3 2025 - I rejected the order on the doorstep and had a conversation with customer representative who assured me that the team is looking and we will get back with a proper resolution. Later received an email that the order has been cancelled and the amount will be refunded to which I replied back confirming the amount.

Feb 4 2025 - they reverted saying the cancellation charges will be applicable to which I had to again spend about 30 mins debating with the customer rep, who again mentioned we will get someone from the backend team. I dont find any use of their customer support team when everything had to go through their backend.

Feb 8 2025 -I raised a complaint at jaago grahak Jago and also to grievance email from Samsung. They are saying to settle it using a coupon code of the cancellation amount. I am checking with them on the amount because I am less likely to buy anything from their shop again. I am not willing to have a coupon of Rs.2999 just to buy some other **bleep**. The Max i can go with is a Rs.999.

I also suggest taking legal action in the consumer court. Your evidence will be crucial in this process.

Atrocious. Initially they lured the customers saying they will refund the pre booking amount without questioning if we decide not to buy later

Exactly. This time I just feel Samsung got desperate enough to somehow lock people into getting phones.

Really sometimes feels we as a customer gores for a branded product ,in return what we get such type of schemes,which makes customers think twice before buying that product.
Thats what samsung is doing.fooling customers in the name of AI.

im also into same book they have not mentioned anything initially then to threaten customers they have increased the charges to 2999rs . did you get any revert

Even I have pre ordered with instant exchange. But since my exchange device (Galaxy S22) has green lines, exchange is rejected. So for cancelling the order they are charging ₹2999 as cancellation charges.
Please let me know if anyone takes legal action in the consumer court.
