usb c to HDMI hub not working

Hi,
I own a Samsung S10 and a multi port USB Hub but my S10 does not work with the USB C hub neither for Dex nor for screen mirroring where as at the same time my friends Note 9 works perfectly.

My S10 says buy original Dex accessory and the display on the monitor goes away.

Why do you force me to invest in the Dex pad or hub when i already own a USB C Hub.

which usb c to hdmi r u using. I too didn't get the original dex accessory but using it via amazon basics cable
