how to use phone as Trackpad in Dex?

As shown in guides option to use phone screen as trackpad will be the there in notification bar but it isn't there.

Is it because I am using normal USB-B to USB-C cable to connect to laptop?

Do I need HDMI cable to use phone as touchpad.

no there is no need for that

are you using one ui 2.1 if not then this feature is only available in the one ui 2.1 not in 2.0

did you updated the dex on the laptop and pc and mac as well if not then update it and kindly check the setting of the dex on your phone

I am running the latest version ,I just had a chat with samsung guy he is saying that I can't use screen as trackpad on laptop ,for that to use I need a standalone display,can you confirm it?
