Query to achieve a use case.

If I'd be in that position to pretend. like... my phone is turned off due to battery discharge and still will be wanted to access the internet, if there'd be no WiFi. 

- I tried to do aero mode and tried explicitly to turning on the data. It didn't went through!

Can anyone please help me with this query. I'd really appreciate.

Mobile data is disabled in airplane mode. Turning off WiFi in airplane mode will disable internet on your device

You also cannot access internet when the phone is discharged

true, that I know but that I'll need to pretend to others..
(let's suppose, if I don't want to receive the call and pretend like my phone's battery is dead and still wanted to access the internet) 😛

You can only use WiFi then for internet

thanks for replying on this. I can turn on the WiFi but I cannot turn on the mobile data while having aeroplane mode turned on.

The mobile data (which uses cellular radio) is disabled when turning on airplane mode
