THE WHEEL OF TIME TOOK VIEWERS on a magical journey when the Amazon fantasy series premiered its first three episodes last week. Based on Robert Jordan’s bestselling fantasy series, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is starting to lean more into its lore and source material to tell a story that we have not quite seen before.

Rosamund Pike leads Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but the energy and charm of its ensemble cast elevate the spellbinding tale. So, there’s little surprise that fans are excited to see what happens next in .

You can find all available episodes of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade streaming on Amazon Prime Video. For even more Wheel of Time, check out the epic book series, also available on Audible.

Prime Video‘s new fantasy series Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade takes on the challenge of adapting Robert Jordan’s massive book series by focusing on smaller moments between its characters. In Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Episode 1 alone, we get to see quiet conversations between friends, solemn recollections of loved ones gone, and one surprising hot tub scene. After arriving at the Winespring Inn in the Two Rivers, Aes Sedai Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and her Warder Lan (Daniel Henney) share bath time together. The scene never happens in the books, but helps give both a jolt of **bleep** to the show and a better picture of the non-sexual intimacy shared between the two characters.

“I think the hot tub scene, it’s not a **bleep** scene at all. These are just two people that need a bath and have been on the road for a long time, and they’re just like, ‘Thank God this place has a bath,'” Wheel of Time producer Mike Weber explained to Decider.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of our world where a privileged group of women, known as Aes Sedai, have the ability to channel using the One Power. Some men can also channel, but they are considered threats as they inevitably go insane. The taint on the One Power for men was one of the many horrors brought when a mythic figure known as the Dragon brought about the “Breaking of the World” in the Second Age. Moiraine, an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, has made it her life’s mission to search for a reincarnation of the Dragon known as the Dragon Reborn. In Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade‘s first episode, we learn she has narrowed it down to one of four twenty-year-olds living in a remote village called the Two Rivers. But Moiraine isn’t traveling alone.
