Starting 31st December 2018, Google Chrome will stop supporting WebView in Android Applications and enforce the use of Chrome Custom Tabs (CCT) as the only browser view UI where apps can redirect to upon user interaction such as login and logout (mostly in cases where you are authenticating with a third party IdP service e.g. Pay-TV providers).

With CCT, developers can now present more customized view of the redirected browser screens. This will save the application from having to maintain a WebView and is likely to enhance experience.

If you are a programmer, a developer, or an enthusiast ask any CCT questions to me and I will help you know more on this from the perspective of a first hand feature tester.
