gps getting switched on automatically

Hi I have an s7 edge. Recently while travelling i misplaced my mobile so I had locked the mobile using find my mobile.I was lucky dt I got back the phone and I removed the lock but a unique problem I am facing now is that  the gps gets switched on automatically even though I have kept that option as off on find my mobile app.

there is a setting which says to store your location more frequently, check that

Please perform the following steps to resolve GPS issue:

>Reset settings (Settings>>general management >>reset>>reset settings).

>Check for the latest device O/S (Scroll down Notification panel >Settings >Software Update >Download updates manually).
