I am using the samsung galaxy on max 2017 . As we know that the handset is a 4G set. That mean we can put one 4G sim And other one we can put a 3G sim. In case of using jio sim in the handset do not get any problem, but when i put Airtel 4G sim ... The network automatically change from 4G to 3G..... I thought that the problem come from the connection , then i contact to the Airtel .they tell me that , there is no any connection problems in our region. Even my brother also facw this connection issue. So, please Samsung do something in this regard.....

generally the phone choose the 4G or 3G automatically. see if you have 4G sim card to begin with and if you have try putting your airtel sim in another mobile and see if you can get 4g. if yes then you will have to take the phone to a service center

It is a normal scenario in Samsung phones as the network is set to LTE/3G/2G (auto connect). Depending on the nearest network coverage it takes that particular band. In your case it is selecting 3G network. To overcome this issue download " network mode" app from Google Play Store and select the network as LTE/3G only or only LTE. Hope this solves your issue.

Thank you for reaching out to the Samsung community! We would like to inform that due to network fluctation the network is changing to 3G and it is normal. When the network mode is set to Auto mode(4G/3G/2G) then device will connect to the strong network only.
