OthersSubject: Improved Search Functionality with Tags in Samsung Notes
Dear Samsung Notes Developer Team,
I'm writing to request a significant improvement to the search functionality within Samsung Notes, specifically when using tags.
Currently, searching for a tag results in opening the entire document, forcing users to manually locate the relevant section. This becomes incredibly time-consuming for documents with hundreds of pages.
Here's a proposed solution that would greatly enhance the user experience:
Direct Page Jump with Tag Highlighting: When a user searches for a tag (e.g., "#plastic"), Samsung Notes should:
- Open the specific page where the tag is present.
- Simultaneously display a sidebar that highlights all instances of the same tag within the document, allowing for quick navigation between tagged sections.
Per-Tag, Per-Page Highlighting:
Extend the highlighting functionality to differentiate between tags across pages. For example, if a document mentions "#plastic" on page 1 and "#samsung" on page 2, searching for "#plastic" should open page 1 with "#plastic" highlighted and not highlight "#samsung" occurrences.
This improved search system would significantly improve efficiency and streamline the process of finding specific information within tagged notes.
I believe this feature would be immensely valuable to users who rely on tags for organization and quick reference. Implementing it as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely
HJ
