Samsung Finance plus horrible service in India

Hello,

I would like to share my experience about Samsung Finance plus in India.

Samsung Finance plus comes with a lot of terms and conditions which shop keeper never informs the consumer.

I have badly suffered post buying Samsung phone on Samsung Finance plus wherein 30% of the device is blocked or rather unusable. Secondly, service of Samsung Finance plus is not up to the mark. They push every single query to DMI Finance and they hardly reply or cut the call in the midst of the call.

My objective here is to make everyone aware the consequences of going for it, which ideally Samsung must do, but have not done

Below are the issues if you avail Samsung Finance

1) The device gets partially blocked, you cannot access Secure Folder, no access to Developer options, Cannot factory reset the phone till Loan is fully paid ..etc 

2) The loan is approved based on CIBIL score, so whether your score is good or bad, device is partially blocked. Even when the Cibil score is good, after numerous requests, Samsung did not Ideven bother replying.

3) The Samsung Finance plus app is open constantly and pops up several times a day reminding us that we have made a sin of buying phone on Samsung Finance and payment needs to be made. Here we get the feeling that are we defaulters or are we criminals for such treatment 

4) The rule states that 3 consecutive emis must get debited (Auto debit) from Samsung Finance plus app and only then you are eligible for Rs 5000 cash back at the end of 3 months. Its more than 1.5 months now my auto debit is not active, changed bank twice ...still the same. Samsung Finance team when I enquired they asked me to make advance payment but didn't tell me that if an advance payment is made, cash back of Rs 5000 won't be paid and here I lost Rs 5000 due to incomplete information by Samsung Finance plus executive. 

I wrote a mail to Samsung Ceo India ...its more than a month and absolutely no reply except acknowledgement. 

It's our hard earned money out of which we buy such devices. But this Samsung Finance team treats us like defaulters n criminals wherein we cannot even use the new device to 100%. Shop keeper does not brief about all this neither Samsung finance team nor Samsung.

It's really better to go for some bank emi ...better to pay interest, rather than getting stuck in this web. 

Pls be aware of these terms n conditions before availing Samsung Finance plus web !!

Mujhe ye sab nhi pata tha, store wale ne force dekar mana liya , mai le liya, phone lete time confused karte hai ye. Log idhar udhar uljha dete hai baad mai pata chalta hai galat kiya gaya hai, mai aakyla gaya tha lene, uljha diya mujhe, nov22 ka manufacturing wala deice 2march 2023 ko jab liya tha dhara diya mujhe, andriod12 ke sath aaya. Tha mijhe 13 ke sath mila kaise ?, kya use phone diya gaya mujhe ? Pack tha ya nhi box dhayan bhi nhi raha , mind se ye baat nikal gaya baad mai dhyan aaya tab kar late ho gaya. Jada paise le liye jhut bolkar, bhaut dekhad hai, mujhe kya pata tha ki kuch paise ke liye kisi had tak gir sakte hai ye log, ab trust kabhi nhi karunga kisi pe, 8 months emi ka hai, 1st emi auto debit enable hai avi 6hr bacha hai paid hone ko aaj ka dare hai, par ye auto debit ho nhi raha ku ?, time 4.59pm ka dikha raha hai, kya ye time hote auto debit ho jaayega bank se ya, is time baad nhi katega , mujhe karna hoga khud online? Bahut confused hu aur sach mai Bahut harassment me hu, nhi leta wo aacha tha. Please bhai ji mera confusion clear kijiye 🙏

What you said is not accurate.

When you apply a loan via Samsung finance, a device policy is added to the phone.

This device policy is removed when the loan is fully paid.

Samsung finance approval is based on cibil score, but you need not have a good score or previous loan history to get samsung finance loan, since the collateral for the loan is the phone itself. So this is basically a secured loan.

If you dont pay the loan on time, the device will be partially blocked.
After a certain no of days, if the emi is still unpaid, the device will be fully blocked.

After the emi is paid, the device will be active again.

This is their method of forcing the customer to pay the dues.

While this is a good option for people with low cibil score to buy phones.

This can also become a trap if you dont pay the loan, because you will be left with a blocked phone.


So choose wisely.

Only take samsung finance if you are sure about paying the loan

But what about the additional charge of 590 without any proper reason while I have the emi before 1 week then why it's done.

You are right in some way but you haven't the proper experience how they treat .

The reason i wrote this as it causes a lot of inconvenience to the users ...

There are so many limitations when you opt for their loans...
Developer options cannot be accessed ...Secure Folder cannot be accessed .. the app constantly keeps opening even when you are in the mid of something...

All this happens even if you pay your loan on time ...

No other option but to pay all emi to stop it ...I have gone thru it ...won't buy phone if it is Samsung Finance
