Brand new s20+ phone giving trouble from day 1. More with Incoming calls- 

A. I pick up the calll and phone completely freezes and doesn't  allow call through. 

B. I pick up the call and I can hear the other person but the caller cannot hear me.

 

This is an inconsistent problem. It's  not a connectivity issue as another phone in the same location doesn't have any problem. Nor does my sim have  any trouble in another. 

Checked the mics- they're all working. 

 

I sent it to the service centre- they updated the entire OS. The problem unfortunately  persists.

 

Anyone else facing this or any suggestions? Want to go back to 10+ or even s7

see brother you can solve this problem with some settings in phone related to sim and network management you can select your network operator to automatic and use network mode more than 2g means allow phone using 2g,3g,4g only

I've reset network settings  as well as put it on Volte/ 4g/3g. Connectiivity really isn't the issue- tried with other samsung phones in same spot.

check for any dubious apps on your phone, or how the ram is performing under settings>device care tab.
is the storage full ?

did you try factory reset ?

Hi, I don't have any random apps. I only use Google apps usually and as I sent phone to service centre and they factory reset it- no other apps other than whatsapp currently. Storage is completely empty. 

This is a software glitch I'm pretty sure as the mic randonly stops working mid call also at times. But, Thank you. 

This problem seems to be there in s20 series - was checking out some international samsung forums and communities.  

Hoping samsung fixes this or gives me a s10+ again.

Hi which Sim are you using. I faced a similar issue on my S20 plus with Airtel Sim. I have switched off the volte calling option and it works in most of calls now. You can also try and do that.

To resolve "device freezing issue" kindly follow the given linkhttps://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/how-to-restart-the-device-when-freezed-or-hanged/

 

And to resolve "network" issue please follow below given step:

>>Check device in safe mode:- Power off the device > Press and hold the Power key for one or two seconds to turn on the device > When the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.
To exit safe mode: Restart your device.

 

If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).
Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.
