My Files app update missing feature

It was good to have favourites on My files home. Now favourites is another category just like Image, videos, audio etc after android 11 update. I hope devs bring back favourites on home. It was so easy to mark a folder as favourite.. and then access that folder straight from home. Now I have to click on favorites (category) then click on the folder from there.. it's more work now. New feature is not helping

It's not gone..
Before it was right there at home wasn't it!
Now it's more than 1 click away

Oh touch and hold the my files app icon and you see some stuff like recent files and long presh that recent files and drag and drop on any ware on home screen

I've turned off recent files on 'customize my files home'. And it's not recent files I want to have on home screen. it's Favourites. and they moved favourites to categories

OP is right - unnecessary extra step. PLUS, you used to be able to reorder the favorites which made them easier and faster to use for move/copy/paste.

Dumb change.
