After using One UI 7 on my Galaxy S23 for over a week, I've noticed that several previously available features are missing from this new update. I'm unsure why these changes were made, but I found those features quite useful.

For example:

The pop-up window transparency slider, present in One UI 6.1, is absent in One UI 7.

The transparency options for widgets and similar elements are now significantly more limited.

Screen curtain mode, accessed through the Good Guardians module, previously worked with more apps and could be activated via a side key shortcut (Power + Volume Up buttons). Now, it supports fewer apps and the shortcut no longer functions.

I've observed several other useful features that have been unnecessarily removed and am sure that i will find many more as I continue to use the phone. This is very dissappointing when a feature that you love and use regularly suddenly dissappears.

It is also regrettable that some features are not available on older phones, including the previous yeara S and Z series phones. The S23, for example, lacked audio eraser and log video modes, among many other features. However, I will not be complaining about that. But I do think atleast the smooth slider for zoom in video mode, however, should have been included for atleast flagship devices. Some features in Game Booster plus are also missing for S23 series which i hope will come in the future.

I hope Samsung will reconsider this approach and revert to their previous practices, as the abundance of features and options is what distinguished Samsung and One UI. Without them, it will just be one of many Android UIs available in the market.
