OthersI tried to put everything together here.
Requirements and Methods:
Method 1 [Beebom sourced]
- A root file explorer (recommended ES File Explorer)
- PUBG Config Converter (download)
Method 2
- GFX Tool Tsmol
- PUBG Game
Method 3: In-Game settings changes.
4- Others.
1. Once you’ve downloaded and installed a root file explorer of your choice, you’ll need to locate the PUBG Mobile UserCustom.ini file. The UserCustom.ini file can be found under:
Android/data/com.tencent.ig/files/UE4Game/ShadowTrackerExtra/ShadowTrackerExtra/Saved/Config/Android
2. You’ll then need to open the file in order to edit values and in order to do so, you might need to change its extension to .txt and open with a notepad app. In case you’re using the ES File Explorer, you’ll get an option to open it with the in-built ES Note Editor.
3. You’ll now be greeted with a bunch of number and letters that absolutely make no sense. This is where the PUBG Config Converter comes into play. You’ll need to copy the values written after +CVars=, paste them within the top bar in the converter and tap on decode.
4. The converter will instantly decode the entry and you’ll be able to edit the values. Make sure you only edit the values which have an impact on the game’s performance, including quality, shadow, bloom, depth of field, refraction, etc.
5. Once you’ve edited the values, you’ll have to copy the new setting and encode it once again and paste it exactly where you copied it from. I know it sounds like too much work but trust me, it’s worth the effort.
You’ll have to repeat the process several times in order to change all the settings to the bare minimum and get the best performance
Values You Can Change |

|
|
|
---|---|---|
+CVars=r.PUBGQualityLevel=1 | +CVars=r.Shadow.MaxCSMResolution=4 | +CVars=foliage.MinLOD=0 |

Proceed with caution
2-How to get better PUBG Mobile performance on Android
Now the method we will be talking about only works on Android because iOS does not let apps tweak background files.
1. Installing the app GFX Tool by developer tsoml from the Google Play Store.
2. Once installed launch the app to come to the menu interface with a whole list of options.
3. Select the correct version of the game from the top, keeping in mind that (GP) indicates the global version that is downloadable from the Google Play Store.
4. Then comes resolution, and here it is suggested that users select the highest resolution supported by their device display.
5. Next comes graphics, and here select ‘Balanced’ for a very optimal performance. Users can select ‘Smooth’ or ‘HD’ based on the hardware quality of their phones. Remember, selecting higher quality will make the phone heat up.
6. Next is FPS and here almost all devices come with 60 FPS displays and selecting 60FPS will produce the best results.
7. As for Anti-aliasing, we would ask users with mid ranged and budget smartphones to skip this and keep it disabled. High-end device users can use this and select 2X or 4X according to the preference of how much they would want to smooth out the textures.
8. Other options like Shadows and GPU Optimization can be enabled and disabled according to preference.
9. Once the settings are selected, select ‘Accept’ and then ‘Run Game’ which will launch the game, and hopefully you will notice the difference.
3-PUBG Mobile Settings You Should Change
1. Switch off the mic and speakers
Every single new player of PUBG Mobile finds it annoying to hear other players screaming into their mics or sometimes even using profanity in the middle of a game. There's an easy way to disable this in the game. Once you're in a game tap the Speaker icon and set it to Off, and then tap the Microphone icon and set it to Off. This will mute everyone and you can focus on sharpening your skills till you're ready to chat while playing.
2. Optimise PUBG Mobile graphics settings
For every smartphone, PUBG Mobile recommends certain graphics settings for best performance. This is not always accurate though, sometimes you will find better performance or visuals that you prefer when you stray away from PUBG Mobile's recommendations.
Go to Settings > Graphics and choose what you are comfortable with. You can change graphics to Smooth on low-end devices and some players on more expensive phones prefer the same setting because it allows them to use the highest possible frame rate setting.
We highly recommend that you change the frame rate to the maximum possible setting on this page, which is Extreme on high-end phones and Ultra on most other devices.
3. Style of visuals
Go to Settings > Graphics and choose your style of visuals in the game. You can choose between classic, colourful, realistic, or soft — this changes the colour tone in the game. Choose one that looks better on your phone's screen as classic doesn't work for everyone. These filters are just cosmetic changes to the visuals and some people claim that the colourful mode helps them spot enemies more easily.
However, in our team the consensus is divided on this one, with most people preferring classic mode and getting by just fine with it. We suggest that you check out all of these options and figure out which one works best for you.
4. Customise PUBG Mobile controls
The first thing you should do in PUBG Mobile is change the controls. Once you open the game go to Settings (gear icon) > Controls > Customise. This option is on the bottom-left once you're in the Controls menu. Now you can move the fire button around and place all other buttons wherever you find them to be the most comfortable.
5. Peek from behind cover
This setting is so good that it's baffling it's not enabled by default. Peek and fire allows you to get pop your head out when you're hiding behind cover and to shoot at enemies. This means your foes have just your character's head to aim at — which is harder to hit than the character's body — and you get a chance to land some hits from the safety of cover. You can enable this by going to Settings > Basic and tapping Enable next to Peek & Fire.
Some players also recommend enabling Peek and open scope. This automatically opens your gun's scope when you peek, giving you a magnified view of the surroundings and a greater chance of spotting enemies. You can enable this by going to Settings > Basic and tapping EnablePeek & Open Scope.
6. Automatically pick up loot
Ideally you want to focus on the game and not keep tapping on screen to pick up loot. This setting allows you to pick up guns and ammo just by walking over these. Go to Settings > Pick Up. Now Enable Auto Pick-Up.
7. Set how much ammo you want to pick up
There's a limit to how much inventory you can carry in PUBG Mobile, but it's always better to pick up more ammo. The game has a limit on the number of rounds you can carry and we recommend that you bump it up a little to ensure that you're never short of ammo. For fast-firing guns, set it to around 200 rounds. You can set different limits for different guns, so set these wisely. Head over to Settings > Pick Up and set ammo limits there for each gun.
8. Change angle of view in PUBG Mobile
By default you have a field of view of 90 degrees. Some players prefer to increase this for a better view of the map, when playing in first-person view. You can change this by going to Settings > Basic and tweaking 1st Person Camera View.
9. Add more messages to Quick Chat
Quick Chat allows you to create set templates to quickly send pre-written messages. This is useful if you want to avoid using voice chat and communicate quickly with team mates. Go to Settings > Quick Chat and add new messages.
10. Change crosshair colour
Crosshair allows you to aim your weapon in every shooting games. You can change its colour in PUBG Mobile to make it easier to spot. Just go to Settings > Basic and choose your preferred crosshair colour.
Other Things :
- Disable power saving mode while gaming.
- Don't play while charging, more heat will be generated which would drop GPU performance.
- Check your internet connection.
- Clear RAM before playing a game
- Limit Back-ground Processes in developer settings.
-These are only tweaks to improve performance , so you may notice or may not notice anything.
If you want true performance gain, root your phone. Then, you will be able to Overclock your CPU and use software like RamExpander to use some space on your sdcard as RAM. This is what will give you real Performance boost. This is tweaking the hardware and you will see the difference in actual usage as well as in benchmark scores
There are several risks, including that your phone may get “bricked”, thereby making you unable to use your phone. So i may not recommend this method.
1.Overclock your phone. Overclocking your phone allows the CPU to become more powerful and thereby increasing it’s capabilities
2.Try a ram expander. A ram expander creates a “swap” file on your internal storage. This swap file acts as secondary RAM, thereby giving you a heavy performance boost.”RHOESOFT” RAM EXPANDER” is a popular RAM expander.
- Also noticed people are disabling game booster along with bloatware .
please use game booster - it delays the heat throttling while playing.
Use game plugins - if available download from galaxy store
