OthersHello Good Lock Labs Team and Community,
I would like to request a highly anticipated customization feature for theLockStar (or Wonderland) module:the ability to completely hide or turn off the fingerprint sensor icon on the active Lock Screen while keeping fingerprint unlock active.
Currently, Samsung allows us to hide the fingerprint icon on the Always On Display (AOD) via standard settings (Settings > Security and privacy > Biometrics > Fingerprints > Show icon when screen is off > Never). However, as soon as the screen wakes up to the active Lock Screen, the fingerprint icon aggressively forces itself back into view.
For users who love clean, minimalist setups, abstract wallpapers, or custom LockStar layouts, this unmovable icon ruins the aesthetic.
Why this should be a Good Lock feature:
- The functionality already exists in Android: Advanced users are currently forced to connect their phones to computers and use complex ADB command lines to toggle the hidden system variable fingerprint_screen_on_icon_lock to 0. If the system is already capable of doing this safely, Good Lock should give us a simple toggle to do it natively.
- True Customization: Good Lock is all about giving users complete control over their UI. Adding a "Hide Fingerprint Guide Icon" toggle under LockStar would perfectly align with the app's mission.
- Immersive Wallpapers: Many users use deep blacks or intricate lock screen wallpapers where the bright white/green fingerprint graphic looks completely out of place.
Since the phone still unlocks perfectly fine when pressing the invisible sensor area, please give us the choice to hide the visual icon on the lock screen!
If anyone else in the community wants this feature, pleaselike and comment on this post to help the developers see it.
Thank you, Good Lock Team, for always listening to user feedback!
