I have recently purchased a Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigerator, model RS76CG8003S9. I’ve connected it successfully to the SmartThings app on my Samsung phone and have enabled all available notifications for the refrigerator.
The fridge does give a beep alert when the door is left open, and I can clearly see the door status in the SmartThings app. However, I do not receive any push notification on my phone when the door is open for too long.
I also tried setting up a routine in the SmartThings app to send a notification when the door is open, but under the “If” condition, there was no option for door status—only temperature options were available.
Is this a known issue or a limitation of this model? I would appreciate any help or suggestions on how to get door open alerts as phone notifications.
