(our mobile should support Camera API 2 so that we can shoot in pro mode.)

Hi all, I'm a Astrophotographer. I shoot some night skies, I'm using Samsung galaxy m51 smartphone. It has decent camera but not suitable for capturing stars in night sky.

So I was Searching for external app from play store which supportsRAW format (it gives you much more detailed image compared to default camera). I found many camera app which supports Raw, but Those app's can't go beyond 1/5 - 1/10 sec of shutter.

But, atlast I found one Named "Deep SkyCamera Beta" from play store. It has many features than I expected. I listed few features, I surprised of.

* It allows me to open shutter upto 71sec in my m51 (It varies phone to phone, some phones can shoot upto 120sec).

*It hasmanual focus (separate focus mode for samsung phones)

* SupportsRaw mode.

*Intervalo-meter used to capture series of images in specific time gap automatically.

*Only for astro photographers - It can shootLight,dark ,bias,flat frames.

* Can also shootraw+ jepg as DSLR cameras do.

*Preview screen are much better than default camera app. Can see stars in dark locations too.

I have used this camera for non-astro purpose also, I have shared those photos I my last post. please be free to check it out.

I recently saw video onSamsung Expert Raw  camera app, many have asked for those apps in comments so I decided to share this information here. It is similar to samsung expert raw camera app & can do better when It comes night sky.

App is also available in samsung store.

It has few bugs to be fixed (since beta version) , you can report this bug to the app developer through play store, mail or Instagram. He will fix this issue in upcoming update & sometimes restarting app may work.

I too had problems in changing white balance with my M51 device and I reported this bug to developer and he fixed through update.
