5G compatibility

My S23 Ultra 5G was bought and registered in USA in September 2023. Despite 5G coverage being available in my area od residence, Jio   recognizes only  LTE/4G in my phone and directs me to get a JIO 5G phone! And for the next 10 months, Google Play store won't allow me to change country preventing download of essential Indian apps. Of course, Google Pay works in my phone.

Is there any legal way of getting around these 2 issues?

Thanks, will this cause any issues for future upgrades? And will it work with s22 as well? Have same issue on s22 too.
