My GalaxyI am writing to bring to your attention a display issue I encountered on my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which I purchased two years ago. My device is in excellent condition, but yesterday, a vertical green line suddenly appeared on the display, following a recent software update.
After researching the problem, I discovered that several Samsung users are experiencing similar issues, with many attributing it to recent software updates. To address the issue, I visited the Samsung service center today (6th October 2024), where I was informed that the display replacement policy expired on 30th September 2024. As a result, I was advised to either pay ₹13,000-14,000 for a display replacement or wait for a possible future policy that has not yet been confirmed.
I have also contacted customer support via phone, and they reiterated the same information, offering no alternative solution. I have tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, including restarting the phone and performing a factory reset, but the issue persists.
Given that this problem seems to be related to a software update and affects multiple users, I believe this should be addressed by Samsung as part of its commitment to customer satisfaction. As a loyal Samsung customer, I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed in resolving this issue without incurring such a significant expense.
I would be grateful if you could escalate this matter and provide a timely solution.

My GalaxyYes, they did. But when I asked how many days it would take to receive my device if I go with the policy, they said 9-10 days. However, if I opt for the paid option, it will take in just 1 day.

My GalaxyThe worrisome part is that my phone's display has some scratches from months ago and it has nothing to do with the recent issue but these will definitely try to tie green line with that.

My GalaxyYes, they can. We can keep posting updates here so that we all stay informed. I'm visiting the service center again tomorrow to create a ticket. After that, we’ll see how Samsung handles the issue.
