Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

Galaxy device slow charging:
Use a ''Genuine Samsung charger'' with your device, If you are using a non-genuine Samsung charger, check the device charging by using another Samsung genuine charger. (If available)
Note: We always recommend using a genuine Samsung charger for charging your device.

Check the physical condition of the USB cable
Check your charging cable (USB cable) for physical damage such as wear and tear, bent prongs, etc. If it is damaged, then kindly visit your nearest service center to get it replaced.

Check charger functionality
Request you to check the charger functionality with a different device or try to charge the same device with a different charger.

If different devices charge with the same charger:
It seems your charger is functioning, before getting into the mobile-related troubleshooting, I would like to know whether you are using a Samsung-approved charger.
Note: We recommend our customers use only Samsung-approved chargers, as 3rd party chargers with different output ratings may cause errors in the device.

If the device charging with a different charger:
It seems there is an issue with your charger, kindly check the physical condition of your charger for any damage.
If damage: The issue might be because of the damage hence we request you to visit the Samsung service center to get it replaced (Warranty not applicable).
If not damaged: We have tried all possible troubleshooting and the issue has not been resolved. I request you to visit the nearby service center along with your mobile and charger for a detailed inspection.

Check charging
If the rating is 15W or above: Kindly try to charge the device in a non-inverter socket.
If the customer using a normal socket: As a safety measure Fast charging may not support, you while you are using the device hence, request you to keep the device idle and check the charging performance.
Note: Kindly open Device Care from settings > Battery > Please tap on three dots (more options) at the top right-hand side > Please select settings > Enable fast cable charging.
For Android 11: Kindly open Device Care from settings > tap on Battery > tap on More battery settings > Fast charging > Turn on.

Charge the device in switch condition
Kindly follow the standard charging procedure. i.e.; please charge the device in switch-off condition for a minimum of 10 minutes.
If not resolved: (Removable battery) – Kindly remove the back panel of your device and check the physical condition (Bulge, Swelling, or visible damage).
If the physical condition is not good: Request you to turn off the device immediately and please do not try to charge or tamper with the battery also request you to visit the service center immediately.

Avoid usage of mobile phone during charging
Usage of the mobile phone when charging may cause slow charging issues. So we recommend you avoid the usage of the mobile phone while charging.

Galaxy device battery drain issue:
Charge in one go instead of charging many times as it affects the life span of the battery and battery performance

Perform Battery Optimization
Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:
Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care/Battery and device care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage, and Memory

Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.
Turn off unused functions like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and location settings when not using them: On the home screen swipe down the notification panel > Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.

Check device network fluctuation
Kindly check whether the mobile network fluctuates frequently or if the network signal is low in your area. In both cases, the battery will drain considerably fast.
Recommendation: We recommend you avoid using it in areas with low network/fluctuation.

Reduce display brightness level
Kindly set the device display brightness in auto mode (If available).
Adjust screen timeout settings: Settings > Display > Screen timeout > Select minimum screen timeout.

Check and update the App: Kindly check which application or interface is using more battery from device care. And try to update the app or avoid using that app.

Close background running apps
Close all the background running apps when not using them,

Turn off auto sync of e-mails, app data, etc.
We request you turn off the auto sync option, it will stop the synchronization of the device with the server & reduce the battery drainage.
The steps to turn off auto sync are:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Turn off the auto sync option.
