TU8570 - is this normal?

I recently bought a 43" TU8570 from Samsung Plaza, Kolkata.

While I like the picture and sound quality, I am really bugged by the backlight bleed on this TV.

I booked a service request and the visiting technician told me that this is normal for all EDGE lit LED TVs.

I would like to share some pictures and want to know from the community if this is normal or not.

On one hand, as it is edge lit, its pretty quite normal, but on other hand, this much bleed is not normal. Are you experiencing issues while watching TV normally?

My 55inch TU8570 has almost zero back light bleed but then I guess it is dual LED.. Not sure.

I don't think so it's normal bleeding... U need to escalate as early S possible to get it replaced or fixed. SAMSUNG have replaced the units like this in recent past. So it's your call to push them stringently 👍
