Need help in securing Secure Folder: Pin forgotten

I have a Samsung Z Fold 6 phone, and I’ve stored my family documents, images, and videos in the Secure Folder. I want to access those files now, but unfortunately, I’ve forgotten the PIN. 

There doesn’t seem to be a “Forgot PIN” option to reset or generate a new PIN. Can someone please help me with this? 

I can’t take a screenshot for reference, as the app doesn’t allow screenshots.

If you forgot the pin you can access files stored in secure folder by logging in to samsung account but to use this benifit you have to activate the option of samsung id when you started secure folder at first. If you forgot already then you can't access your files.

Is there a way to check whether I had enabled the Samsung ID or the "Reset with Samsung account" option? 🫥

Yes if you have already enabled the option unlock with samsung account then it will show on the screen. Just use wrong pattern or pin then you can see forgot pin or pattern option at the bottom. From there you can reset pin or pattern option but it will work only if you already enabled "unlock with samsung account" option from secure folder app setting.

Note for future use : if you start secure folder again please go to settings and enable "unlock with samsung account option." Don't forget again.

If you have enabled "lock reset with Samsung account " during initial setup along with "backup and restore " option, you can recover your content from secure folder.
Otherwise, you lost them already.....

Thanks, but I’m really not sure about that setting.
Right now, I only see an option to uninstall.
If, sadly, I do end up having to uninstall Secure Folder, how can I set it up again and enable the “Lock reset with Samsung account” option?

When you will setup Secure folder again an option will come while setup which represents "unlock with samsung account" you can give yes to that option.

Forget pin/password appears when you enter wrong pin/password - that means you enabled "lock reset with Samsung account" option.

Also, this is useful when you have backup of your secure folder.
