Since a few days, I'm noticing whenever I fold the phone at right angles, like a laptop, the touchscreen doesn't work! Sometimes I even observe blurred horizontal lines. No touchscreen issues observed on the smaller cover screen though.

I suspect this is due to the update of latest One UI 7 atop android 15. This update I had installed recently and since then only this issue started, otherwise this phone worked perfectly in any folded position since it's purchase. Is anyone owning a Samsung flip 6 facing same issue ?

PS : See comments for live updates

This issue occurs only when I start folding the screen. The screen remains unusable thus even after unfolding fully for a while.
My phone has no damage of any kind.

Issue resolved.

Live update: Just visited the samsung service center. The support centre informed there is 'impact damage'. The probable total cost , uncovered by warranty, is ₹25000! (approx. $88 ) , that's 1/4th the price I paid for a phone.

I knew a foldable phone has risks, but I have been careful handling it carefully and even used the Samsung flip cover which covers the hinge. No water damage. It didn't fall down anywhere. The phone itself is only six months old and I purchased directly from Samsung website!

The service person said they will take 10 days to service this phone using a specialized machine.

AI told me to clear the One UI Home app's cache and storage. Guess what? I saw something crazy!

The problem didn't disappear, but if I open the phone, the main screen works again like it should! Before I cleared the app's data, the main screen stayed frozen even when the phone was fully open.

So, it looks like something messed up after the One UI 7 update on my phone.

So, I went to the opera house service center later. The support person checked out my phone, got my info, and said the screen needed replacing. But, good news, it was under warranty, so I wouldn't have to pay. I was so relieved and said I'd hang around for half a day to get it fixed.

They also replaced the battery and ran some tests, like they always do.

Looks like the screen was probably just a factory defect.
