Today I was unable to unlock my phone Samsung Galaxy Note 8 through pattern and I am 100% sure it was the correct pattern and it kept saying incorrect and there was no pop up for the backup pin which I had already setup then I logged into the Samsung find my mobile and it shows the device is offline whereas my device is connected to the wifi and location service is also on but still it was not working and then I had to hold the volume up button and power off to switch off the phone and then when I entered the same pattern it was unlocked but still Find my phone application is not working and when I am trying to locate the phone on Samsung find my mobile website it shows that the phone is offline. This has started after I got an update on Galaxy apps for the application Samsung Find my phone and after that it has stopped working.

Many thanks
Adrian

for find my mobile application follow the steps 👉 connect your mobile data not wifi ..then👉go to app settings....search for find my mobile app...click on it from there....click on 3 dots present top right.....uninstall update.......go to Google play store....update it.......try new setup..it will work......if I will able to solve that...then please accept my solution

you have to search it under application settings of your device first that I told...then after uninstall update...go to Google play store..automatically it will show update available...then update it from there and try it....and this is the procedure

Follow the screenshots.
Each time your phone is reset and your samsung account is added, the device is treated as a new device. That means your old device data will remain in find my mobile database.
Some times when you try to locate the device, you may be seeing the status of old device which is no more active.
So while using find my mobile, make sure you are viewing the status of the correct device.

Hello Adrian,I was also facing the same issue. So today I updated findmymobile from galaxy store and the issue got resolved (they resolved the issue in this update). So check for the update in Galaxy store and then update it.And then use findmymobile service again. It will work fine after update.
