Galaxy Store (Apps & more)
Hello Samsung Team,
I would like to suggest an important feature addition to the My Files app.
Currently, Samsung My Files supports integration with cloud services like Google Drive and OneDrive, which is very useful for seamless file access. However, many users (including myself) are now shifting towards self-hosted cloud solutions like Nextcloud for better privacy, control, and flexibility.
Feature Request: Please consider adding native Nextcloud support in Samsung My Files, similar to how Google Drive and OneDrive are integrated.
Why this matters:
- Growing demand for privacy-focused cloud storage
- Many users run personal NAS / home servers (Nextcloud)
- Would allow direct file browsing, upload, and sync from My Files
- Keeps Samsung ecosystem more open and powerful
Suggested Implementation:
- Add Nextcloud under “Cloud accounts”
- Support login via WebDAV / OAuth
- Enable file sync, preview, and category integration
Samsung already leads in innovation and user experience, adding Nextcloud support would make My Files even more powerful, especially for advanced and privacy-conscious users.
Hope this feature gets considered in future updates 🙏
Thank you!
