Galaxy SHey, I had the same problem with my s7 edge. In my case it disappeared after rebooting once and I still got the new Update installed. If it does it again, try wipe cache partition and reboot again.
Hope you already got it fixed and it will help others who got the same issue

Galaxy SSame issue has started on my S9+ over WiFi, I tried clearing cache partition, reset WiFi settings, software update check works fine on mobile data in less than 5 secs but not over WiFi, just says "Connecting to server.." ???
