Miracast is not a valid replacement for what is supposed to be stock on our phones. These 3rd party mirror apps are **bleep**. Nothing but ads. Suggesting this is like saying its okay that our Samsung phones don't work the way they're supposed to.

S pen connects via Bluetooth so separate issue. See my post about how I fixed the smart view issue., may work for you.

This may work for you.

I have two S20's and a Sony TV, one S20 worked the other wouldn't. I eventually found by going into the TV and finding the Direct WiFi settings I could see the 2 phones listed, I deleted all devices and then tried to reconnect the S20 that wasn't working and it connected with Smart View.

Yes. Latest update for my Galaxy S10 plus on Feb. 25, 2021 has glitches. Now smart view will not connect properly to my Samsung TV , stream connection is choppy or interrupted and closes due to bad connection.

This was one of the best features of a Samsung. It's actually Android's fault for messing this up, but it would be nice if Samsung could come up with a workaround.

Same issue since latest update on my Samsung M31. My phone no longer connects to my Sony Bravia TV via smart view because it can't see it anymore but it DOES connect to my Hitachi TV via smart view! Tried everything to fix the Sony issue including Samsung support steps, restarting in safe mode, clearing cache etc. I've got around the issue for now by downloading the Google Home App which works just the same as smart view does. Not ideal but I have my beloved casting functionality back at least!!

It worked perfectly on my S9 plus & still does, however after transferring to my S21 ultra it NEVER finds any devices (there are two).

There's no option to remove/install or update.
